It’s sad but true; the creator of the widely popular Ghostbusters logo (Michael Gross) has died to cancer at age 70. Gross worked on popular shows and movies like Ghostbusters and National Lampoon as writer, producer, and designer. Diagnosed with cancer in 2014, he refused any treatment and instead was quoted as saying he’d “go down fighting.”
Part of Gross’s healing process included paintings which depicted a middle finger and the words “flip cancer” underneath. Before his death, he had plans to auction the pieces and donate the money to cancer-fighting charities.
